Just Getting Started
For too long I’ve been trying to write my first newsletter. I’d like to say weeks, but it’s been months. Many of you have probably heard me say, “I’m not a perfectionist, I’m a fear of failure-ist.” That’s how I’ve felt about this. What should I write? It better be profound. If it’s not profound, I’ll look stupid. Analysis-paralysis.
See pattern, wash and repeat.
Even when we know the patterns that ail us, those are often the hardest ones to change. Sometimes we fight through it, and other times there’s something deeper we need to assess and heal. Not shockingly, most of the time it’s a balance of both.
Are we holding onto past emotions? Most likely
Are we sabotaging ourselves? Why would we do that? But most likely.
Are we afraid? Hard to say, we really don’t want to think about it (except all we do is think about it).
Finding the balance between mind, body and achievement is almost never as easy as getting water from the faucet. More times than not we have to dig a well. The effort yields reward. The alternative is anxiety and thirst. Whatever it is, there is a path to just getting started, feeling better and more fulfilled. I know that when I start my journey and dig my well anything can happen, including finally writing this newsletter.
Cheers and peace be the journey.
